A spirit of celebration and achievement filled the air as Modern Senior Secondary School, Nanganallur held its School Day on 09th June, 2025 (Monday). Jagad Guru Seva Ratnam Shri P.R. Kannan, M.Tech, IIT Chennai, graced the event as Chief Guest. The dignitaries on the stage were represented by President Sri S Pattabiraman, Smt Sripriya Rajarajan, Principal and other Committee Members.
In a grand ceremony held at the school premises, 65 students of STD X & XII CBSE Board Examination were felicitated for their outstanding performance. Applause rang through the hall as each student was called on stage to receive certificates, medals, and mementos in recognition of their efforts.
While addressing the students, Sri Kannan emphasized the values of our culture to achieve success in life. He quoted the heroes from our land and advised the students that Non-Violence is the way of life for a student to reach pinnacle of success. He also emphasised that to follow the righteous path, one must be brave and courageous. He also advised students to obey and respect their parents and inculcate reading habits to develop critical thinking in life.
The highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of the school topper C SHRI SIVA RANJANI in Class XII. She had scored 496/500 and is from Commerce Stream. The topper received a trophy, shield, medal and a cash award amidst a standing ovation. Std X School Topper was also awarded during the function.
In a special segment of the event, 18 teachers were honoured with awards for being centum producers—those who enabled their students to achieve perfect scores in their respective subjects. The Chief Guest praised the teachers' dedication and commitment, expressing how deeply moved he was by the heartfelt cheers and applause from students during the commendation.
